For the Love of Muir

Ah, John Muir -- we owe him so much.

An appreciation of the beauty and majesty of this land we call America, the place we call home.

The Sierra Club, a non-profit organization we can feel good about (not like those crazy ones like PETA and Greenpeace).

The beauty of the old-growth coastal redwoods, preserved for generations to come.

No less than the foundation of the entire environmental movement, long before Al Gore came along with his PowerPoint roadshow.

And this...the Muir Woods bear. So patient, yet stern, in the face of a steady stream of tourists sitting on its ever-welcoming lap. Including a lone vistor from Minneapolis. Oh, Mr. Bear. And Mr. Muir. How we love you.
