Molly and the Moose

There's a George Stubbs exhibit at the Frick Museum in New York that I would love to see. I've always loved his horse paintings -- the detail is amazing. And I recently learned that he could capture that detail because he completed very detailed dissections, from tip of ear to point of hoof. Icky. Here's his painting of Molly Longlegs, 1762. (No, he didn't dissect poor Molly.)

What I didn't know about Stubbs is that he also painted other animals. I mean, I knew about the foxhounds, but I did NOT know about the moose!
